About this hotel
General information
Salzburgerhof stands on the shore of Lake Zell against a backdrop of mountain peaks. Its buildings are set in an alpine garden laid out along feng shui principles, with a pond, a waterfall and a fountain among the flowers and greenery. The spacious rooms are decorated in a modern alpine style in warm tones: carved wood, carpeted floors, furniture upholstered in finely coloured fabrics, matching drapes and carefully chosen details, with balconies looking out over the lake and mountains.
The spa, designed in the manner of a medieval castle, sits within the garden. Guests can join excursions and cookery courses, and the hotel also has a golf simulator, a garage, business services and a laundry and dry-cleaning service.
Location
The hotel is in central Austria, in the resort town of Zell am See, on the shore of Lake Zell.
Spa
Styled as a medieval castle, the spa occupies part of the garden. Facilities include an indoor pool, a heated indoor-outdoor pool, a swimming pond, a jacuzzi set into the rock, a salt grotto with colour therapy and its own pool, a herbal grotto, a hammam, an alpine sauna, a laconium, a tepidarium, a solarium, a beauty salon, a fitness studio and a relaxation room. Treatments span massages, therapeutic baths, Dead Sea mud and salt wraps, peels, Ayurveda, thalassotherapy and beauty programmes using !QMS, St. Barth, Thalgo and Millet products.
Sports & leisure
In summer the lake is used for water-skiing, pedalos, sailing, windsurfing and diving, while the surrounding area offers 1,150 km of cycling routes, rafting, horse riding, fishing, hunting, mountaineering, hiking and paragliding. There are 20 outdoor and 4 indoor tennis courts and golf courses nearby, and a golf simulator in the hotel. Winter adds curling and ice skating to the skiing.
Restaurants & bars
Awarded two Gault&Millau toques, the hotel restaurant serves refined Austrian and international dishes with an extensive wine list. In fine weather tables move out to the garden terrace, which also hosts themed and gala dinners, music and dance evenings. The bar is a relaxed meeting place, with live piano music in the evenings.

The hotel sits on the shore of Lake Zell, where guests swim in summer.
