General information
Alte Post traces its history back to the 17th century, and since 1991 it has been run by the Tandl family, who keep its warmth and character intact. The interiors pair farmhouse simplicity with classic elegance: stone walls and timber beams sit alongside graceful furniture, crystal chandeliers and a fireplace whose marble mantel is lined with fine figurines.
At its heart is a spa with an indoor pool, several saunas, grottoes and a long treatment menu. The Stuben restaurant, set in an 18th-century room, cooks from old local recipes with contemporary international touches and pours wines from the hotel’s own cellar. There is also a dining room, a bar with an open terrace, a conference room and parking, and the lifts are a few minutes’ walk away.
Location
The hotel is in the centre of St. Anton am Arlberg, on the main pedestrian street, a few minutes’ walk from the lifts.
Spa
The spa has an indoor pool with a lawn alongside for summer sunbathing, Finnish, herbal and Japanese saunas, a steam room, jacuzzi, grottoes with mountain and ice-cold water, an aroma bath and a solarium. Treatments cover massages, wraps, therapeutic baths, peels, facials, rejuvenating and anti-cellulite programmes, Kneipp therapy, manicures and pedicures.
Sports & leisure
The central location opens up a wide choice of winter and summer sports, and trips to a golf course can be arranged. The hotel has an indoor pool.
Restaurants & bars
The Stuben restaurant occupies an 18th-century dining room, serving dishes from old local recipes with contemporary international accents alongside wines from the hotel’s own cellar. A second dining room and a cosy bar with an open terrace complete the picture.
Skiing
The lifts are close by, a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.

Rooms combine traditional Alpine style — wooden ceilings, Tyrolean stoves, dark timber window frames — with classic elegance in the form of graceful furniture, crystal chandeliers and soft carpets.

Bedroom with a generous living area, bathroom with bath and shower, separate WC and a balcony; some have a Tyrolean stove. Sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child under 12.
Family Suite
A Junior Suite Galzig combined with two smaller bedrooms.
