General information
Die Krone von Lech is the oldest hotel in Lech. It opened in 1741 in the very centre of the village, long before the first pistes were cut, and in 1922 it was here that the resort’s first ski instructor began teaching. The classic Alpine building, with its neat façade, bright shutters and flower boxes, keeps the character of past centuries, while its wood-panelled rooms offer every modern comfort.
The Wasserschlössl water spa has a panoramic pool, an outdoor whirlpool, saunas, a Turkish bath and a warm-sand ‘desert’ for relaxation. The panoramic restaurant and terrace serve Austrian and international cuisine, its dining room recreating a 17th-century interior with painted walls, and the bar, with live music in the evenings, is one of Lech’s favourite gathering places.
Location
The hotel is in north-western Austria, in the very centre of the ski resort of Lech. Innsbruck airport is 110 km away and Langen railway station 17 km.
Spa
The Wasserschlössl water spa has an indoor panoramic pool with hydromassage and counter-current, contrast showers fed by Alpine springs, an outdoor whirlpool, Finnish and bio saunas, a steam room, Turkish bath, relaxation room, a warm-sand ‘desert’, gym and solarium. Treatments include massages, therapeutic, herbal, salt, aromatic and Alpine hay baths, wraps, scrubs, manicures and pedicures, many using sea salt and Alpine herb extracts.
Sports & leisure
The central location puts a wide range of winter and summer sports within reach. Guests can join Welltain, an instructor-led mountain fitness programme, and a golf course is nearby.

Restaurants & bars
The panoramic restaurant and its terrace serve Austrian and international cuisine against a backdrop of mountain scenery; the dining room recreates a 17th-century setting, its walls painted with figures of the period. The cosy bar offers a wide choice of drinks and, with live music in the evenings, is one of the most popular spots in Lech.
