Four Seasons Hotel Sydney

About this hotel

General information

Four Seasons Hotel Sydney is a 34-storey tower of 531 rooms and suites where the historic lanes of The Rocks meet Circular Quay. It overlooks Sydney Cove, the spot where Captain Arthur Phillip came ashore in 1788, and its windows take in the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, the ferry wharves and the cobbled streets of old Sydney.

Interiors are dressed in harbour-inspired blues and whites, with silk fabrics, mahogany details and marble bathrooms. The hotel is known for one of the city’s largest heated outdoor pools, for Grain, a cocktail bar with more than 200 whiskies, and for Lounge 32, its club lounge on the 32nd floor. A Grand Ballroom, meeting rooms and wedding spaces handle events, while the concierge team arranges harbour outings, evenings at the opera and family itineraries.

Location

The address is 199 George Street in Sydney’s central business district, a few minutes on foot from The Rocks, Circular Quay and the Opera House. Sydney International Airport is 15 km away, 30–45 minutes by car, and the concierge can arrange a limousine or taxi transfer. There is covered on-site parking with a valet service.

Spa

The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney is a quiet urban retreat reserved for in-house guests, with personalised treatments focused on restoration and balance. It opens daily.

Sports & leisure

The fitness centre has weight machines, cardio equipment with personal screens and free weights, plus spacious locker rooms with saunas and steam rooms. Hotel experiences include the Bar M.O.D.E. Cellar Tasting of Australian wines with the sommelier, a Macallan whisky flight at Grain Bar, harbour outings by sea and by air, and cake-decorating classes.

For children

Families are well looked after: young guests receive a welcome gift and a plush koala, and rooms can be set up with a play tent, child-size bathrobes, age-appropriate activity kits and childproofing items. There are children’s menus and babysitting, and the concierge plans family days out, from picnics in the Royal Botanic Garden to Taronga Zoo and SEA LIFE Sydney.

Restaurants & bars

Dining leans on Australian produce, wine and spirits.

  • Mode Kitchen & Bar — contemporary Australian cooking between bistro and fine dining: buffet breakfast, brunch, dinner and a chef’s degustation
  • Grain Bar — a moody cocktail bar for whisky, wine, signature cocktails, craft beer and a house gin
  • On The Go Café — a lobby café with Lavazza coffee, sandwiches, salads and pastries from the hotel’s pastry team
  • The Cabana — a seasonal poolside restaurant for light dishes and cocktails
  • Afternoon Tea — sweet and savoury bites, with a Champagne option
  • In-Room Dining — a 24-hour menu
Swimming

The triangular outdoor pool on the third-floor sundeck is 20 metres long, one of the largest hotel pools in Sydney, and heated all year. It has a separate whirlpool, sun loungers, daybeds and cabanas, towel service and sunscreen, with full service from The Cabana in the warmer months. The pool is reserved for hotel guests.

Pets

One dog of up to 11.5 kg is welcome per room, with a bed, bowls and toilet pads set up in the room. Further terms are arranged with the reservations team.
